I am a versatile artist, born and brought up in northern part of India. I work with traditional mediums as watercolor, oil and acrylic colors, and a lot of nontraditional mediums as collage, mixed media, and most favorite of mine is beads on canvas.

I was in college when I realized that I wanted to be known as an artist when I grow up. Indian traditional art is one of my favorite subjects. Figurative compositions and nature are also some of the subjects, which are close to my heart.

In figurative art, I make compositions of my childhood memories, life before the internet, and different festivals of India. 28 states of India have all different cultures, I enjoy painting that versatility.

I was always surrounded by art all my childhood, whether it was music, dance, henna, rangoli art, photography or painting. I learned my first lesson of painting from my mother, who was an Art teacher. In college one of my professors had a major impact on my decision of choosing art as my career. I was so passionate about discovering the possibilities in this field that I went back to Art school after 10 years of getting my first degree, getting married and having children. I always felt that there is something inside me that needs to come out and I found colors as the most beautiful medium for expressing myself.
